Come see computer science students’ projects and support all the work they have done this semester at their open house. There will be free food and door prizes. Come and go as you please.

Non-Profits Seminars: Women in the Workforce
Wednesday, December 9
Weber Leadership Center

Kristy Hall, president of Universal Synergy Group, LLC, will present two workshops for local nonprofit organizations Wednesday, December 9, in the Weber Leadership Center. Both sessions are free, but limited to 35 participants.

In the morning, she will lead the session, “Creating Your Perfect Board out of Imperfect People.” This workshop will focus on board structures and responsibilities, creating best practices for boards and implementing tools for motivating board members.

In the afternoon, she will share “How to Raise $20K in 30 Days.” Participants will learn what is required for a successful online campaign, including effective online tools and how to motivate volunteers for a virtual campaign.

3rd Annual Women in Business

On Thursday, December 10, the business department is sponsoring a community workshop, the 3rd Annual “Women in the Workforce.”

The keynote speaker, Kristy Hall, is an Olivet alumnae who was ASC student body president from 1995-1996. She then went on to law school at George Mason University. After successfully practicing law for a number of years in the Washington D.C. area she has now set up a consulting company that works with nonprofit organizations.

Topics of the conference include: how to market yourself successfully as a woman, financial issues for women, and healthy living.

Bring the family and join us for a ‘Pizza Party’ with the ladies and men’s basketball teams!

All Children will be able to shoot hoops and meet the players. They will also receive a free picture of both teams. Plan to be there early and watch the Lady Tigers play at noon against Clark College, followed by the men’s game at 2 p.m. verses Union University. For more information, please call 815-939-5258.
