Andi and Al Tauber, the performers of Stories from the Streets, work with Emmaus Ministries, an outreach ministry that is committed to connecting with the homeless male prostitutes that walk the streets of Boystown in Chicago.

"Stories from the Streets" is a dramatic retelling of some of the stories of these ostracized and outcast men told through song and interpretive monologue.

There is NO cost, but donations for the ministry and for the Stories from the Streets performers are appreciated.

Secrets of the Cardboard Rocket

Strickler Planetarium

Blast off with two children as they use the power of their imaginations and the knowledge of a talking astronomy book to explore the planets of the solar system. Visit each planet in turn (including a certain well-known dwarf planet) to get a close-up look at their surfaces and learn more about their environments.

Though the show is aimed primarily for children pre-K to early middle school level, full-dome video effects make this an exhilarating educational ride for all ages. Topics treated include the nature of the Sun, the inner planets, the gas giants, Pluto, temperature and pressure, and asteroids.

Show time approximately 45 minutes (including live star talk).

University President John C. Bowling will make his Olivet theatrical debut in the upcoming production of Little Women: The Musical, directed by Jerry Cohagan.

Based on the book by Louisa May Alcott, Little Women follows the lives of aspiring author, Jo, and her sisters as they come of age during the Civil War. The musical, which opened on Broadway in 2005, features a powerful narrative and a striking score.
