Trivia Tuesday: I heart Valentine’s

It’s nearly Valentine’s Day, and love is in the air!

Experts tell us that approximately 1 billion Valentines will be exchanged this year — making February 14 the second largest card-sending occasion of the year, next to Christmas. An overwhelming majority of these cards, whether hand-made or store-bought, will carry a common design element: hearts.

Similarly, our friends at NECCO will provide millions of lovers a bite-sized vehicle for sweet, thoughtful wishes in 13 characters or less, using — you guessed it — hearts.

While we associate love with the “heart,” that hasn’t always been the case.
